Hi~I'm Sharon Chang. I'm from Taoyuan. I graduated from Fudan High School. I major in International Business now. I also take part in the badminton team in our department. Speaking of my hobbies, I love to eat desserts very much. I always tell others that I have a second stomach to put in sweets, apart from the first one that is used to put dinner. I also love reading. I developed the habit of reading since I was in kindergarten. The famous series, "The Hunger Games Trilogy" is one of my favorites. Listening to pop music is another thing I really love to do. My 18th Birthday Cake

        
         Since I'm a passionate dessert lover, I've tasted various kinds of desserts in my life. Here, for my first post on this blog, I'd like to talk about this special made-to-order cake in celebration of my 18th birthday a few months ago.

        My birthday was on June 27th, just a few days before July 1st (when the College Entrance Exam taken place), so I was actually a little bit nervous about the coming-soon exam. My mom also knew about this, and she wanted to do something for me that both to congratulate my becoming an adult and to release my anxiety about the big exam. As a result, she went to a bakery nearby and ordered this special birthday cake for me.
        It was a HUGE SURPRISE when I opened the paper box and saw the cake. I was like, "OMG what's this in front of my eyes!!!" It was so beautiful and creative, like a work of art. 

        As you see in the picture, there was a slogan made of dark and white chocolate to cheer me up in both on the exam and in my future life.

        There were also something amazing on the top of the cake---two puffs shaped like swans! It was so elegant and exquisite that I fell in love with them at the first sight : ) My mom told me that these two swans symbolized a big change in my life---to become a grown-up! Just like the stage when the ugly duckling turned into a beautiful swan~

        When removing all the decorations on the cake, I found another surprise. There were various kinds of sliced fruits on the top, including strawberries, kiwis, peaches and pineapples! It was colorful, creating a joyful atmosphere of celebration. 

        I was really touched when receiving this precious birthday gift from my dear mom. She racked her brain for the cake merely to give me a special present on my 18th birthday. Needless to say, the cake tasted wonderful. It was indeed the most unique as well as unforgettable birthday cake I've ever had.

    When I opened this website, I was so amazing about the cute cake, and I almost didn't find the two little puff swans before you talked about them. I think you are really lucky to have a considerate mom who does encourage you a lot.
    It's so glad that you overcame such a great challenge and become one of the members in IB :D. Hope that we both have good time during the college life.
    By the way, you did eat the two swans which you fell in love with right? XD

      Yeah, I feel so lucky to have such a good mom: )I'm also excited that I got into IB! It's like a big, warm and crazy family^^I'm pretty sure that we both will have wonderful times as IBers!
      Oh, about the swans...yeah I ate them and they tasted so good!!! haha.

    Hello Sharon! Your amazing 18-year-old birthday cake is also a great surprise to me! Although I just eat my night snacks, I can't control my mouth watering after seeing the cake in the pictures. In addition, your mom is such a considerate mother for cheering you up and releasing your nervousness. In the end, I hope that you will have a great time through your college life after so many efforts you spent on College Entrane Exam. I looking forward to the surprising dessert you post next time!

    How blissful it is to have such a perfect cake on 18th birthday. The combination of puffs and cakes really surprises me. I can imagine that how delicious the special cake is.Besides, after reading this article, I recall my 18th birthday. My birthday was also near to the CEEC so I persuade myself to stay in the cram school and keep studying.Now I think that was a little pityful.

    Though I am not really interested in dessert, but I still like the modeling of the puffs. It really surprises me as I never saw suck kind of puffs and makes me couldn't bear to eat it > <. Also, I think your mom is really sweet for ordering such cake for you^^
